先月、PCV共同設立者のメアリーは、チェルノブイリ大学と国際観光平和研究所が主催するウェビナーで、ピースツーリズム分野におけるPCVの取り組みを政府関係者や専門家らに向けて紹介しました。
国連世界観光機関前事務総長のタレブ・リファイ氏やウクライナ観光庁長官マリアナ・オレスキフ氏、その他の著名な教授や観光起業家も参加しました。
イベントの終わりに、リファイ氏からPCVの取り組みに対してお褒めの言葉を頂き、広島の若者たちが観光を通じて平和文化を創造するために革新と行動を続けてほしい、と力強いメッセージを贈って下さいました。イベントは以下のリンクからご覧頂けます。

PCV cofounder Mary presented PCV’s work in the peace tourism field to an audience of international government officials and tourism professionals last month at the Chernobyl Tourism for Peace webinar sponsored by Chernobyl University and the International Institute for Peace through Tourism.
Mary was joined by Former Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization, Dr. Taleb Rifai, President of Ukraine’s State Agency for Tourism, Mariana Oleskiv, and other distinguished professors and tourism entrepreneurs.
At the end of the event, which you can view at the below link, Dr. Rifai congratulated PCV on its work and encouraged Hiroshima’s youth to continue innovating and acting to create a peace culture through tourism.
