PCVのグローバルリーダー育成のためのオンラインスクールであるPeace Culture Academy (PCA) は、月曜日に初のPEACE PORTALというワークショップを主催しました。
PEACE PORTALは、日本の若者に平和文化のリーダーシップに関する多様な視点を提供するだけでなく、彼ら自身の人生のためのツール、知恵、勇気などを提供する一連のワークショップです。
私たちの最初のセッションでは、Children of One Worldの監視評価部門の責任者であるZiad Alahmadさんが、シリアから移住した彼自身の経験をとし、強制移住者、彼らが直面する課題、そして彼らが移住した国との関係性、などについて参加者に話してくださいました。
参加者とZiadさんの議論の中では、平和構築における起業家精神の重要性、困難な状況下での生き方や考え方、そしてより平和な世界を創造する上での広島の役割は何なのかなど、幅広く話し合いました。
世の中のすべての人たちのためのコミュニティーを作るために行動していきたい、たくさんの刺激をもらったと参加者の方から感想をいただきました。

Peace Culture Academy, PCV’s online school for peace culture leaders, hosted its first PEACE PORTAL workshop on Monday.
PEACE PORTAL is a series of workshops that provide Japanese youth with diverse perspectives on peace culture leadership, as well as tools, wisdom and encouragement for their own journeys.
For our inaugural session, Ziad Alahmad, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at Children of One World, spoke to PCA members about forced migrants, The challenges they face, the value they add to their host countries, and his own experience fleeing Syria.
Discussion ranged from the importance of entrepreneurship in peace building, to facing hardship with resilience and optimism, to the role of Hiroshima in creating a more peaceful world.
After the event, PCA participants wrote that they felt inspired to redouble their efforts to create a welcoming community for all.
