メアリー・ポピオは、国連主催のSDG グローバル・フェスティバル・オブ・アクションにPCVを代表し参加しました。このイベントには、203カ国以上から24,000人以上が参加しました。
メアリーは、国連事務次長の中満泉さんと、日本、南スーダン、イラクの若いリーダーが「若者を担い手に何千億もの平和へのアクションを」というテーマの基、スピーチをしました。
その中で、メアリーはPCVと @timelooper の「ヒロシマの記憶」というＡRアプリに被爆者のホログラムを追加することを発表しました。私たちが使っているイマーシブ・テクノロジー(没入型技術) が、被爆者の声や話へのアクセスを広め、風化されないための重要な1つの方法になることを願ってます。
このプロジェクトのために多くの時間を費やし、ご自身の経験をお話ししてくださった田中稔子さんに本当に感謝しています。今後さらに進歩が見込まれますので、ご期待ください!
Mary Popeo represented PCV at the United Nations-sponsored SDG Global Festival of Action. More than 24,000 people participated from over 203 countries and territories.
Mary was joined by youth champions from Japan, South Sudan, and Iraq on a panel entitled, “Youth in Building Coalitions for a Billion Acts of Peace.”
During the panel, Mary announced the addition of atomic bomb survivor holograms to PCV and Timelooper’s AR app, Xplore Hiroshima. We hope that the immersive technology we are creating will become an important method of expanding access to, and preserving the stories and voices of survivors around the world and into the future.
